On December 26, 2010, members at Christ Our Saviour Anglican Church, Denison, TX, voted unanimously to join the Patrimony of the Primate as we await the erection of the Personal Ordinariate for the U.S. in accordance with Anglicanorum Coetibus.  Christ Our Saviour, has been received into the Patrimony of the Primate where we will remain under the jurisdiction of the Rt. Rev. Dr. David L. Moyer, appointed Bishop of the Patrimony of the Primate, until the formation of the Ordinariate in the United States.

For details on the Patrimony of the Primate, please see the letter from The Rt. Rev. Dr. David Moyer dated December 16, 2010- Patrimony of the Primate Anglicanorum Coetibus Traditional Anglican Communion [Adobe Acrobat PDF - 90.19 KB].

The Church of Christ our Saviour, Denison, Texas is an outreach of the Traditional Anglican Communion (TAC).  The parish is dedicated to continuing worship in the tradition of the Apostles and early Church Fathers just as our fellow Anglicans have done over the centuries.  We believe that the traditional Anglican expression of the ancient Catholic Faith is as relevant today as it has been throughout the entire history of the Christian Church.  Thus our Christian faith is a lively mix of traditional Liturgy and practical Biblical Doctrine and Principles.

Along with Traditional Anglicans (TAC) throughout the world, we hold that the Bible is the inerrant word of God and we try to practice Christ’s love every day.  To us, our faith in Jesus Christ defines who and what we are, ordering everything that we do.  Therefore, along with the witness of both the Scriptures and the two thousand year history of the Church, we continue to maintain the all male three-fold ordained ministry of Bishop, Priest and Deacon.  We neither knowingly ordain  practicing homosexuals nor do we bless same-sex unions.  At the same time we are pro-life and seek to be a witness to the love of Jesus Christ to a hurting and often disillusioned world.

Who are we?  We are the Church and the Church is the Body of Christ at work in the world.  As Christ’s faithful Bride, the Church is different from the world, and must not be influenced by it.  We repudiate all deviations from the Faith in whole or in part, and bear witness to the essential principles of Evangelical Truth and Catholic Apostolic Order.  This is why we cannot be a part of the Episcopal Church USA nor be in communion with today’s Archbishop of Canterbury. The same is true for any relationship at this time with that new group being formed calling itself The Anglican Church in North America since they continue to ordain women to the deaconate and the priesthood.  To be against the innovations of these groups is never to be negative, but positive in maintaining the Faith once delivered unto the Saints.

If you are seeking a Church home, we invite you to join our Parish family.  We believe that you will find the Parish and the TAC to be a friendly and loving family with ministries and fellowship for the whole family as we proclaim together, “Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever”.  Though the world and society change daily, we don’t.  If this spiritual stability is what you are looking for, please contact us.
